The Grounds are embarking on the first leg of their summer tour dates, into Western Canada
Blank-Fest is an annual live music event to raise awareness of the city’s homeless population. Performances are donated by the musicians; admission is a blanket, warm clothing or cash donation of your choice. 100% of proceeds raised go to the charity to aid the homeless.
Blank-Fest aims to aid those who are less fortunate and keeps the homeless warm while living on the streets. Proceeds from Blank-Fest events are donated to local homeless charities.
Blank-Fest was founded by New York City indie rock veteran Kenn Rowell of The Baghdaddios, founding Blank-Fest in 1997 and organizing an annual blanket fundraiser in New York City.
Blank-Fest Quebec was started in 2008 and is organized by Jon Asher of Asher Media Relations.
SIN Agency hosted Calgary’s first ever event Blank-Fest on November 5, 2011. Blank-Fest Vancouver was added the following year on November 10, 2012. The first Blank-Fest Toronto was held in 2010 by Asher Media Relations. With both Calgary and Vancouver solidly established annually we are proud to revive the event in Toronto on November 15, 2014.
SIN Agency in conjunction with Asher Media Relations now hosts 3 Canadian city Blank-Fest events.
